Game development based on real story
Abstract
The article is based on an unfinished young adult novel written by me and presents a video game adaptation of a visual novel for this novel. The program bears the marks of Eastern styles, similar to old flip books and role-playing adventure games. In the game, we get to know the protagonist's day, in which they rob hostages and try to fight the police. The story is full of rich story guidance and answer possibilities, so multiple endings are possible. It is accompanied by transitional animations and videos in some places to make it varied. The study presents the creation of this video game program step by step, from when I took a pencil in my hand and put my first thoughts on paper, to when I compiled the work in a video game engine and made it playable. It guides you through the difficulties of drawing, animating, video editing and programming and shows how video game development is an everyday thing.
